A Parent's Voice at the Board Table

Candidate for YRDSB School Board Trustee
Vaughan Wards 4 & 5

Education doesn't
need more politics.
It needs more focus
on children.

Anna's Priorities

01CHILD

Children Come First

Every child deserves an education that recognizes their individual needs, supports their well-being, and gives them the opportunity to succeed. Decisions at the Board should be guided by what's best for students, not politics or competing agendas.

02PARENT

Parents Deserve a Voice

Parents know their children best and deserve to be heard. Anna believes in open communication, greater transparency, and making it easier for families to raise concerns, get answers, and participate in decisions affecting their children's education.

03SCHOOL

Schools That Keep Up With Vaughan

As Vaughan continues to grow, our schools must keep pace. Overcrowded classrooms, reliance on portables, aging facilities, and inadequate air conditioning are practical challenges that deserve attention. Anna will advocate for responsible planning and investment in learning environments.

04COMMUNITY

Growing Together in Our Community

Vaughan's rich cultural diversity is one of its greatest strengths. Anna believes our schools should celebrate this diversity, encourage understanding and mutual respect, and create opportunities for children from different backgrounds to learn, connect, and grow together. A strong school community helps every child feel a sense of belonging and thrive.

05FUTURE

Preparing Children for Tomorrow

Education should do more than prepare students for the next test. It should develop critical thinking, creativity, communication, practical life skills, and the confidence to navigate a changing world. Anna supports a well-rounded education that prepares children for opportunities beyond the classroom.

MEET ANNA

A Parent. A Neighbour.
A Voice for Our Community.

After graduating from the University of Toronto, Anna chose Vaughan as the place to build her life and raise her family.

Anna is a mother of two children, ages 8 and 5, and a guardian to her 17-year-old nephew. Her family has connections to both elementary and secondary schools in Wards 4 and 5. Like many parents, she believes families deserve a voice that listens, understands their concerns, and helps them navigate the education system.

A small-business owner for more than a decade and a professional multilingual interpreter, Anna has built her career around working with people, listening carefully, and finding practical solutions.

Above all, Anna is a parent who believes in a well-rounded education and putting children and their future first.
